UT Police at Houston offers competitive pay and excellent benefits. The starting pay for all positions is on a sliding scale commensurate with experience. UT Police offers tuition reimbursement through a cohort (up to $5,250 a year). Excellent benefits are provided to UT Police employees, including paid health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and the opportunity to earn up to 24 additional hours of time off (based on performance.)

Yes. Everyone applying for a position at UTPH must complete an application form. The application may include information that is not found in a resume and the more information you provide on your application, the easier it will be to effectively evaluate your experience and qualifications.
Yes. You will be able to submit a new resume for each position to which you apply.
An applicant can create a profile and update has needed until a suitable position becomes available.
No. UTPH’s career homepage is the central intake point for all open positions. Only jobseekers who create a profile online will be considered for employment.
When you apply for a position, Human Resources will evaluate your application- your qualifications, along with all other applicants, will be compared against the skill/qualification-level required by the position. If qualifications/skill level required are a match an applicant will be contacted by our talent management department for a phone interview.
Your references will be contacted later in the search process, typically after you have been interviewed.
Business casual attire should be worn on the first day unless otherwise specified by hiring department. There should be no jeans or tennis shoes worn.
All applicants will report to our building at the predetermined time, park in the visitors parking lot and bring all documents given during the onboarding process.
